My name is Jacob Clifford and I've trained tens of thousands of teachers throughout the world. My workshops focus on student engagement and teaching strategies that motivate students and get them excited about learning. Participants enjoy this high-energy and student-focused approach to professional development.

Dates and Locations

SKILL-BUILDING BOOT CAMP FOR TEACHERS
The best way to appreciate boot camp is to experience it first hand. In this workshop, participants complete over a dozen experiential learning activities that focus on developing skills like teamwork and problem solving. In addition to knowing how to run the activities with students, your teachers will benefit as they develop friendships and a greater sense of camaraderie. This workshop is great for schools and districts that are interested in uniting their teachers and getting them to work as a team. 

FINISH STRONG: TEACHING ACADEMIC PERSEVERANCE
Perhaps the most important skill that students must learn at school is academic perseverance. In this workshop, I focus on the six main reasons why students give up and provide specific activities and teaching strategies that help students develop tenacity and grit. Emphasizing the importance of this skill will improve your students’ capacity and willingness to learn. Most importantly, teachers will walk away from this workshop with a renewed desire to reach out to students and help them succeed.

TO BUY-IN
Students thrive when they are excited and eager to learn. In this workshop, I show your teachers simple, yet effective, strategies that will get your students to buy-in. Whether it’s developing traditions or creating growth-centered assessments, this training allows you to explore new ways to increase student motivation and create a thriving classroom community. This professional development is great for either new teachers who need techniques to motivate students or veteran teachers that are looking for quick tips. This high- energy workshop is sure to be a big hit! 

STRATEGIES FOR STRENGTHENING ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP*) PROGRAMS
As a College Board Consultant, I've worked with thousands of AP teachers to develop strong AP Programs. This workshop focuses on the unique challenges that teachers and students face in AP courses. Participants learn practical strategies for increasing and diversifying AP enrollment, improving overall performance of all students, and increasing AP exam scores. Participants will gain new insights regarding recruitment strategies, skills development, AP exam review strategies, and assessment tools so you can create a world-class AP program.
